SILVA WANTS ANCELOTTI STAY

Paris St Germain defender Thiago Silva has said that he would be extremely sad if manager Carlo Ancelotti was to leave the club at the end of the season.

Former AC Milan and Chelsea manager Ancelotti has emerged as the main target for Real Madrid, who announced the departure of manager José Mourinho at the end of the season. Ancelotti has proved to be a very capable manager in three different countries. He is one of the few managers to have lifted league titles in three different countries. He has also won the Champions League title as well.

Real Madrid failed to win this European competition under José Mourinho and they are looking to shake up the team by bringing in Ancelotti, who has already demanded permission to speak with Real Madrid. PSG have denied this permission by saying that he still has a contract with them and he has to fulfil it. Ancelotti has one year left on his current contract, while PSG have also stated that they would like to keep him for much longer. Ancelotti recently led the club to the first league title in 19 years, while they also made it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League as well.

"I would be sad if Ancelotti were to go away from the club. We have to wait, it is still wide open [whether he stays]. I do not know if Ancelotti will remain or leave. I came here for him, I will be sad if he departs. I will not talk about my future right now. That's my agent's job, he does everything I need. I will wait and see what happens," said Thiago Silva, who himself has been linked with a move to Barcelona. However, the Brazilian denied speculation saying that he wants to stay at PSG.
