UNITED CLOSE TO DOUBLE SIGNINGS

Manchester United have been negotiating for the signing of Sporting Lisbon ace Bruno Fernandes in the past few weeks. Latest news reveals, that the club could miss out on the transfer due to differences over his market value.

Fernandes had been viewed as an upgrade to both players due to his impressive resume. It is revealed that United want to finalize the signings of Aaron Wan-Bissaka before negotiating a transfer fee with Sporting Lisbon.

News outlets from England say that Manchester United CEO Ed Woodward is not ready to pay the £70 million asking price for the midfielder.

Manchester United have lost numbers in the midfield due to the exits of MarouaneFellaini and Ander Herrera.

Tottenhamhave emerged in recent weeks and have made contact with the 24-year-old midfielder. The White Hart Lane outfit sent representatives to meet with the player’s agent last week in London over a potential move.

United also met with Fernandes agent but talks appear to have stalled. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still keen on the midfielder and wants the club to sign him before the start of pre-season in July.

Fernandes was exceptional last season netting 31 goals in all competitions. Manchester United are also close to finalizingthe transfer Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The England u21 international could become their second signing of the season as he nears a move to the club.
The right-back is expected to undergo his medicals next week ahead of the completion of his transfer.

It is believed that Manchester United and Crystal Palace have agreed on a transfer fee thought to be within the region of £55 million.

The Red Devils are also keen to lock down star goalkeeper David De Gea to a long-term deal. The Spanish international enters the final year of his contract amid uncertainty about his long-term future.

From the looks of things, De Gea is likely to be offered around £300,000 a week to commit his future to the club.
